The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is the official women's auxiliary of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. For over 70 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman's relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.
Still today, a major emphasis is the support of mission and ministry throughout the world by means of mite box offerings. These mite box offerings have funded tens of millions of dollars in mission grants since the organizations inception in 1942.
Some of the mission projects that our Mt. Pisgah LWML/Ladies Guild has sponsored most recently include:
We receive our mite offerings at Mt. Pisgah on the first Sunday of the month in the large Mite Box, through the annual pecan sale, and the Christmas Stockings. The widow's mite did BIG things and the LWML/Ladies Guild can do BIG things with our mites.
We meet on the second Monday of the month at 1 pm. We have devotions, a program, and a delicious dessert and plan BIG things for or mites. Won't you join us?
