Cheerfully Giving with Thanksgiving

"Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, 'He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.'

He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God."  (2 Corinthians 9:6-11)

Faithful Stewardship

God has called us to be good stewards of the gifts He has given us.  Your offerings at Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church go directly to our ministry here in Hendersonville through the proclamation of the Word and in loving service to our neighbors.  We have pledged to designate a minimum of 10% of everything that comes into into our regular offering to be used for missions, local and abroad.  In addition to our Mission of the Month, we also support local charity and support organizations.  We are currently sponsoring four missionaries and three seminary families.  We fund a school in Haiti and work to develop their community and better living conditions through the local schools and churches.  We also send out our own mission efforts.  These are only a few of the things in addition to the operation and ministry of Mt. Pisgah that our offerings and donations go toward.  None of this would be possible without your faithful stewardship and gifts.  We thank you and pledge that we also will be faithful with what God has entrusted to us.             Soli Deo Gloria

Why Give Electronically?

The traditional way of giving an Offering Envelope in the collection plate when we gather for Worship is still the best way to give your offering.  It develops a habit of faithfully giving to the Lord and the building of His Kingdom through both heart and hand.  It is also an excellent way to instill good stewardship in your children and grandchildren by them seeing your consistent giving and also by letting them put the envelope in the plate.  But for those who desire a means to organize and budget more efficiently, electronic giving may be a valuable tool.

Electronic giving is another great way to contribute to the many stewardship opportunities at Mt. Pisgah.  Giving this way can help toward faithful given even when you are unable to attend worship in person; it also may help in simplifying your budget and giving practices.  Mt. Pisgah has partnered with Vanco Services to provide a secure means to give electronically.  It has a 128-bit encryption to protect your personal information, that allows you to rest assured that your transaction is secure.  If you encounter any problems setting up your account, please contact Sylvia, our Church Financial Administrator by calling the church office or sending her an email.  828-6927027
