Preschool Activities

A typical day will include breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.  We participate in the Federal Food Program and encourage healthy eating and lifestyles.

Daily outside play time is required for gross motor skill development.  We have an atrium sensory garden for infants and four fenced play areas as well as a trike track and nature trail for pre-k aged children. Children will experience Music and Movement, Chapel every Wednesday with Pastor. We have a dual curriculum HighReach and One in Christ with daily Bible lessons.

The children may also experience Computer Pals and the Once Upon a Time Reading program.

Annually we have periodic parades through the year and a Graduation Program on the first Friday in May and our Christmas program on the first Friday in December.  We also celebrate Dr. Seuss week and the church sponsors a VBS program and Lutheran School Week. We have raised beds on-site for Summer Gardening Program where we grow vegetables and herbs.  These are picked by the students and utilized in our food program.

Play is the child's work. We take advantage of this fact and add many facets of early childhood teaching techniques to build a happy and strong foundation.  To accomplish this, we balance active time with quiet time, teacher-directed activities with child-selected ones, and structured learning with fun-time. We encourage the child's natural curiosity and eagerness to learn about the Lord's creation.
